February 2025 Patch Notes!

GET READY FOR THE FEBRUARY UPDATE!
Winter is officially over in Squad Busters and we’re kicking things off with a new mode that introduces a new flavor of mayhem! Say hello to Hatchling Run, a limited-time game mode where you’re tasked with rescuing little Hatchlings on a Hay Day Farm! Bring them to the Hutch in the middle and fend off waves of dastardly Monsters for as long as you can. Don’t lose focus and you’ll reap the rewards of your work by spending your hard earned Hatchlings in the new Event Shop!
Also in this update: we are making several changes to Star Chests! Things will no longer be fully random as Star Chests now let you pick from up to four different characters, enabling you to better steer where your collection is going. This also applies to Ultras and Ultimates you receive from Star Chests! New characters will no longer be unlocked via Star Chests and the feature itself will become available at Journey Level 50.
Finally, there are also many gameplay balance changes, new Showdown Maps, Skins, fixes and improvements baked into the update. Check out the full details below!

New Mode: Hatchling Run
Cooperate in a team of 3 to rescue as many Hatchlings as possible while protecting them against several waves of menacing Monsters!
Alternate between rescuing Hatchlings and defending the Hutch in the middle against the Monster onslaught
Bust Monster waves quickly and you’ll earn bonus time for rescuing Hatchlings!
Watch out! The battle will end if the Hutch is destroyed!
Receive 1 Hatchling Currency as a reward for each Hatchling rescued
Spend Hatchling Currency on Rewards in the Hatchling Shop, which can be found in the Plaza

Gameplay Changes
The game is evolving, bringing fresh tweaks to keep battles fast, fun, and full of excitement!
Mega Potions have been adjusted to be less predictable
Mega Potions in Showdown no longer spawn on regular intervals, and instead can spawn faster or slower by random chance.
This chance increases as Mega Potion platforms get covered in vines.
Mega Potions no longer spawn if a player is standing directly on the spawning platform, to discourage camping.
Mega Potions no longer heal.
Loot Surge Modifier has been adjusted to have slightly less loot to help with device performance.
New Showdown Maps have been added to the rotation:
Beach World: Frontline Reef.
Ice World: Thunder Glacier.
Lava World: The Lavadrome.
Spooky World: Brambled Shallows.

Character Balancing
The battlefield is always changing, and so are your favorite characters! Big adjustments have landed to keep every character feeling strong but fair.
Barbarian King Super Rage is no longer stronger than normal Rage Spells, but lasts slightly longer.
Nita’s basic attack's lack of homing has been fixed, and it now travels farther to connect more often.
Royale King now summons more Royal Recruits at lower levels, but the maximum number remains the same.
Witch Elite Skeletons now have much higher Health and Damage, making their Evolution more valuable and balancing out their short lifespan.
Barbarian Ultimate Elite Baby Barbarian has slightly reduced HP to bring it more in line with the power of other Ultimates.
Hog Rider’s Turbo boost now lasts for a shorter time after leaving Grass, making Turbo more impactful at higher Evolution levels.
Dr. T has buffed his Mega Crab's capabilities when Boosted (Boosting is triggered by collecting 10 Coins while the Crab is up.)
Mega Crab is immune to slowdown and faster when Boosted.
Each Evolution now greatly increases Mega Crab’s Boosted speed.

Star Chests now let the player choose out of up to four Characters to ensure better value.
Refreshed Game Modes can now be claimed for a small number of Gems.
Missing Chest Taps can now always be bought with Coins to enable players to get the most out of Battle Chests and their Chest Multipliers.
